Halfway Point – 2026 WDGL Season

We are officially halfway through the 2026 WDGL season.

Liam is not letting his foot off the gas. He has held the #1 spot since his impressive -3 scratch at The Quest. Chris, AKA Florida Pro, tried to make a run back in March, but after realizing he had no chance, he conveniently took a new job so he’d have an excuse.

Mr. “I Don’t Have a Backhand,” James, is trying to repeat as champion. James has only finished in the money twice this year, but his consistency has kept him in the hunt and currently sitting in second place. Rumor has it he doesn’t want to give up that trophy—especially to FNG.

Both Nicks continue to be a thorn in everyone’s side and refuse to go away. They both still have a legitimate shot at getting their name on the trophy.

Pat, No, and Race Car Wolfe are hanging on to the top-tier year-end payout spots. They’re not out of the hunt, but they’ll need some strong finishes in July and August to stay there.

Eric is apparently a vampire now, so who knows what he’ll be able to pull off. I’m just glad he can make it out in the sunlight once a month.

Stark, Dylan, Danny, and Olaf are all fighting to stay on the left side of the standings. They still have a chance at an end-of-year payout—as long as they don’t completely shit the bed.

I hear Kaden is sick of Olaf holding him back and plans to leapfrog him with his newly improved handicap from all those extra throws at the sledding hill.

With EDM festival season in full swing, expect to hear some absolute bangers coming from Dave’s cart.

As for Doug, I hear he’s traveling with Nate Heinold these days. I’ll be expecting some sort of VIP treatment at the upcoming events, Doug.

What happened to Ryan H.? The guy can flat-out play, but his points certainly don’t show it. Maybe it’s all those back-pocket shots… or maybe it’s the sex. Either way, I don’t see Ryan cracking the Top 10 this year.

Keith and Bryan continue to be the driving force behind all the cleanup efforts at Oakwood. If they could throw discs as well as they work, they’d be sitting #1 and #2. Unfortunately, they’ve worked themselves into exhaustion, and it shows on the course.

Juicy??? I feel like I haven’t seen this guy all year.

Billy gets a hall pass. He’s knee-deep in launching Climate Disc and planting trees. Hopefully that means we’ll see some exciting discs in the year-end player packs.

I hear Aidan is still searching for his passion at Toboggan.

After starting the season in first place, Tony has slid down the leaderboard almost as fast as he took that dive into the gulch. Let’s just hope the league money is secure and not sitting in a casino somewhere in Vegas.

Mr. Adventure Josh is making a serious run at stealing Noah’s last-place spot. Will Noah successfully defend the title for a second straight year, or will Josh spend the rest of the season riding his motorcycle instead of throwing discs?

Public Service Announcement

Don’t forget to post your absences on the forum. Tony and No will be running league for the next couple of months while I’m out.

See you guys in July—and hopefully I’ll catch some of you at my August make-up!
